Midtown Management Corporation has proven to be the most inadequate HOA I have ever encountered. They have managed our community for over two years, yet there has been no visible improvement during this time. I have sent numerous emails addressing concerns about the condition of our parks, including issues with landscaping, drainage, and the absence of flower beds.

Following the freeze in January 2023, many plants died, and despite repeated requests, they have not been replaced. The dead plants continue to serve as a stark reminder of their neglect. Additionally, it has been over a month since Hurricane Baryl, and the tree debris scattered throughout our parks remains unaddressed. This ongoing neglect is not only frustrating but also makes our community appear poorly maintained and unwelcoming.

The poor drainage in one of our parks renders it unusable and offers no benefit to homeowners.

Despite multiple attempts to resolve these issues via email, and likely similar concerns from other residents, MMC has made no noticeable effort to address them.

While I understand that our community might be under builder control, MMC must improve its communication and responsiveness. If the delays are due to the builder’s lack of approval or responsiveness, it is crucial that this issue is communicated clearly. As homeowners, we will gladly escalate our concerns directly to the builder to ensure that actions are taken promptly.

This HOA continues to ignore us and our community having had only 2 HOA meetings in 6 years. I have passed ideas and suggestions to them that have gone ignored, they have made decisions that financially impacted the homeowners without our approval. They have the worst customer service I have ever seen, and do not respond to us in a reasonable amount of time, if they even respond at all. We were told there would be another HOA meeting on July 23. It’s now September with no date on the calendar.

I would not hire nor suggest this HOA, even to people I dislike as that would be cruel and unusual punishment.

This company has no customer service. They were assigned to manage my home’s HOA when I purchased it in 2021. Since then, it’s been headache after headache.

First, our HOA yearly dues went up drastically. When we asked for explanations, they just gave us excuses, like saying that fixing a minor gate repair cost thousands of dollars. The CEO, Sonya, doesn't help and only makes the problems worse. You ask her to call back, and she never does. You send a simple email with questions, and they never respond. Why run a business if they don’t even know how to run one?

Don’t get me started with her employee Emma Deatherage! If you speak with her on the phone, she sounds like you are bothering her or that she hates her job. I got my car towed by them inside a gated community. When I spoke to the towing company, they told me the car was called in because it was abandoned. I spoke to Emma, and she told me that the car was parked in guest parking for more than seven days. That was a complete lie; my car was parked there for less than five days.

Then she kept on talking about the bylaws and was firm that my car was there for more than seven days to save herself. She also lied that she called the towing company to pick it up because she assumed it was abandoned. I requested evidence that they contacted the community to see if the car belong to anyone, and she could not produce it. The car is registered in my name, as is the car insurance. They failed to notify me or send a notice to the community. They have no accountability or any regard for anyone besides themselves. I had to pay a fee for my vehicle that they said was “abandoned.” They never reached out and just left it like that.

Please do your research. I just recommend that if they try to give you their fake sales pitch, run! Don’t hire them. There are better and more honest companies out there.
